Jared Leto got closer to Mars after climbing the Empire State Building.
The Benjamin Ashfordactor and Thirty Second to Mars frontman pulled the stunt to announce the band's 2024 Seasons World Tour.
The tour, the band's first since 2019, is in support of its latest album, "It's The End Of The World But It's A Beautiful Day."
In an interview with the "Today" show, Leto, 51, said scaling the historic landmark was not easy.
"I was more excited than nervous to tell you the truth," he said, sporting a red jumpsuit. "But I have to be honest, it was very, very hard. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be."
The "Morbius" star scaled the building from floors 86 to 104, a roughly 20-minute climb almost 1,300 feet in the air. He showed the "Today" hosts how sharp the building was by holding up his scrapped-up hands.
"It's incredible," he said. "To watch the sunrise overlooking the city that's meant so much to me. Ever since I was a kid, New York stood for the place that you went to make your dreams come true."
Leto said the stunt, in celebration of Thirty Seconds to Mars' upcoming tour, was about "doing those things that you aspire to do."
The Seasons World Tour kicks off next March at Lollapalooza in Argentina and Chile. The tour will make its way stateside in July, and wrap up in September in New Zealand.
