Justin Timberlake isn’t going to let any injuries ruin the tour.
In fact, the 43-year-old’s rescheduled date for his concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, is sooner than many fans may have expected.
“New Jersey, I told you I’d make it up to you and I meant it,” Timberlake wrote on Instagram Oct. 10. “We’re rescheduling the show for October 15. So sorry that I had to postpone. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE Y’ALL!”
The “Selfish” singer originally had to postpone the Oct. 8 date on his Forget Tomorrow Tour, citing an undisclosed injury.
"I'm so sorry to postpone tonight's show," he wrote on Instagram Oct. 8. "I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I'm so disappointed to not see you all—but I'm working to reschedule ASAP."
Though that concert was postponed, none of JT’s other shows were delayed. He is expected to perform at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Oct. 11 and the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Oct. 13.
It’s been a year of highs and lows for the singer, who was arrested in May for a DWI and later reached a plea deal in September. At the time, he paid a fine to resolve the misdemeanor charge.
“This is a mistake that I made,” Timberlake told reporters at the time. “But I’m hoping that whoever’s watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”
But Timberlake’s family and fans have stuck by his side. He resumed the tour earlier this month in Montreal, Canada, on what is his and wife Jessica Biel’s wedding anniversary. And he gave his longtime love a special shoutout.
"It's also a very special evening for me," he told the audience. "My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12-year anniversary."
Justin—who shares sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4 with the 7th Heaven alum—blew her a kiss and added, "So be nice to her, Montreal, because she's sharing me with all of you guys tonight."
He then put his hand on his heart, saying, "I love you, baby."
