Coachella may be over but the music festival season is just kicking off.
Outside Lands in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park has announced its lineup of artists for the 2024 festival in August. Headliners include rapper Tyler, the Creator, who headlined Saturday nights at Coachella, as well as country singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson and alternative rock band The Killers.
Other headliners include pop group The Postal Service, Reggae artist Grace Jones, and DJs and producers Jungle, Chris Lake, Gryffin and Kaytranada. Victoria Monet, who took the Grammy for best new artist in February, is also listed among the performers.
Idris Elba to perform at SOMA stage
The SOMA tent stage, introduced in 2021, will also be returning to the three-day event, dedicating a space for house and techno fans with artists like Idris Elba, Uncle Waffles and The Blessed Madonna.
"For all things house and techno, SOMA returns with a brand new, open air format in marx meadow, and Dolores’ is back with more local artists, DJs, and drag performers to celebrate the queer and trans communities and the DIY spaces that are vital to San Francisco," the organization wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Post Malone to give special country music set
Post Malone will deliver a special country music set at the festival.
The singer and rapper has recently dabbled in the genre with collaborations with country artists like Morgan Wallen and an appearance on Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" album.
The artist recently returned to his pop rap sound on "Fortnight," off of Taylor Swift's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department."
